Overview

GKG is in search of a Financial Readiness Professional in support of our Military Readiness Support Services (MRSS) for New Hampshire National Guard.

 

This is a 1099/Consultant position.

 

 

Note** This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Bi-Annual Retirement Seminar Support: The contractor shall provide in-person instructional support for the New Hampshire National Guard's centralized retirement seminars.The contractor shall develop appropriate briefing materials (e.g., presentation slides, physical handouts) and ensure the Financial Counselor attends and presents at two (2) retirement seminars per contract year. The briefing shall synthesize relevant retirement topics, including TSP withdrawal strategies, pension integration, and post service financial planning. The specific dates and locations of these seminars will be coordinated between the contractor and the COR at least thirty (30) days in advance.
  • Deployment Financial Readiness Briefings: Upon notification of a unit deployment or major mobilization, the contractor shall conduct in-person or virtual Pre-Deployment and Post-Deployment Financial Briefings for the affected unit. The briefings must cover the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Savings Deposit Program (SDP), tax free combat entitlements, and the transition of healthcare benefits. The contractor shall conduct these briefings within thirty (30) days of receiving a written request from the COR.
  • Technician & Civilian Employment Financial Counseling: The contractor shall provide specialized one-on-one counseling for Dual-Status Federal Technicians and traditional M-Day Service Members regarding the financial impacts of military mobilizations on their civilian employment. This includes navigating the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), military leave policies, and the financial mechanics of transitioning between civilian healthcare (e.g., FEHB) and TRICARE during Title 10/Title 32 activation periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • CFP - Certified Financial Planner OR 
  • CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst
  • Some travel may be required.
