We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Fluid Technology team as a Lab Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations, working closely with the team to manage and execute fluid projects efficiently. Your responsibilities will include receiving and testing fluids, generating comprehensive reports, and ensuring the smooth handling of all projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our field operations and R&D efforts, making a direct impact on our success.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process fluid samples for testing, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
  • Conduct a range of tests on fluids, following standard operating procedures and maintaining strict quality control.
  • Generate detailed reports on test results, providing clear and concise analysis and recommendations.
  • Handle and store fluids safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with field operations and R&D teams to understand project requirements and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new testing methods and protocols, contributing to R&D initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Fluid Technology team to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel, offering expertise and solutions as needed.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid testing procedures and techniques, with the ability to interpret results.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry developments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • A commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
