Barback

Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders by restocking the bar with liquor, mixers, ice, and other necessary supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and ensure an adequate supply throughout the shift.
• Support the bartenders during peak hours by taking on additional tasks such as handling simple drink orders or running the dishwasher.
• Monitor inventory levels and inform the manager when supplies are low or need replenishment.
• Help in setting up the bar before opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the bar area.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
• Facilitate communication between the bar and kitchen staff when necessary.

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills to efficiently stock and maintain the bar area.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support bartenders and other staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of bar equipment, glassware, and common cocktail ingredients.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy supplies and equipment.
• No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.00 per hour + 3% of the bartender’s sales

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
