We are currently recruiting a Senior Cardiac Physiologist for a hospital in Cork, Ireland.

This is a full-time, permanent role

Responsibilities

  • Manage own clinical workload efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care

  • Provide support and supervision to staff in line with departmental requirements

  • Deliver mentorship and clinical guidance to junior staff, with active involvement in training and professional development

  • Provide clinical leadership in echocardiography and non-invasive cardiac testing, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and internationally recognised guidelines



Requirements

  • Hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology (TU Dublin) or an equivalent qualification, or a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology (TU Dublin) or equivalent

  • Hold current BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) and/or EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging) accreditation

  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in echocardiography and/or cardiac catheterisation

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient-centred care

  • Willingness and flexibility to work shift patterns and flexible hours as required

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
