Manufacturing Test Technician

Description:

·        Thisposition will be based out of our Costa Mesa facility and is an immediate need.

·        Responsibilitiesinclude detailed maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixture andequipment in accordance with Client test engineering and quality procedures.

·        Willwork under the direction of the Manufacturing &Test Engineering Manager andcollaborate with Test Engineers to perform maintenance and troubleshoot testfixture and equipment to ensure standards are met.

Responsibilities:

·        Performwork flow scheduling and administrative tasks as needed.

·        Ensuretest equipment is properly maintained and operational.

·        Ensureall other assigned tasks are performed in a timely manner.

·        Performmaintenance task for tester, fixture, test equipment to ensure theavailability, efficiency and effectiveness of the equipment.

·        Otherduties as needed.

Qualification:

·        Associateof Arts/Science in Electrical Engineering or Technology from a recognizedCollege, with four (4) year’s comparable experience; Certificate of Completionfrom a recognized Technical Trade School, or in process of attaining and/orAdvanced Military technical school, plus four (4) year’s comparable workexperience. High School Degree/GED or equivalent required.

·        Experiencewith high voltage 480 volts testing a major plus.

·        Abilityto effectively communicate, both written and oral, in English.

·        Goodcomputer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Excel.

·        Abilityto use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM’s,oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results.

·        Abilityto use basic hand tools.

·        Knowledgeof basic soldering techniques and use of soldering equipment

·        Musthave good color vision, to identify color coded wiring and cables

PhysicalDemands:

·        Positionrequires a high level of dexterity and manipulative skill, facility with a widerange of manual and pneumatic hand tools as well as simple test equipment.

·        Positionwill require lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and/orsquatting and holding in place parts weighting up to 20 lbs. repeatedly overwork period.

·        Mustbe able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.

·        Mustbe able to tolerate exposure to dust and a limited exposure to fumes and odors.

·        Beable to occasionally handle, as required, both hazardous and non-hazardouswaste in a safe manner and in compliance with local, state, and federalordinances.

·        Beable to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

·        Beable to work occasional overtime during the week and on Saturday on shortnotice.

·        Ableto stand continuously for extended periods of time

·        Mustbe able to regularly ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs through the course ofthe day.

·        Beable to follow posted factory regulations and safety rules.
