Custodian

Performs all housekeeping duties, implementing disinfection and cleaning guidelines, and maintains general upkeep of assigned premises.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Wearing utility gloves during all cleaning and trash removal procedures, cleans facility according to Disinfection and Cleaning Schedule; checks and replenishes, as needed, paper towels, toilet tissue, liquid soap and Purell in appropriate dispensers, daily; Empties all regular wastebaskets and replaces plastic bags, daily; 
• Disposes of all trash in dumpster after proper bagging; Disposes  recyclable trash in proper dumpster; 
• Removes all red plastic bags from biohazard containers and stores in designated container, as needed.
• Insures outside steps/walks are clean at all times; Picks up all debris outside of building to maintain neat appearance.
• The above listing of duties is not meant to be all-inclusive.  However, the Employer will not ask any Employee to routinely perform a task unrelated to the above-mentioned duties.

Qualifications: 

• Similar work experience helpful but not essential. 
• Work history reflecting dependability essential.  
• Ability to read English, comprehend and follow through essential.
• The ability to speak and see clearly, hear and smell is essential
• Ability to communicate with people of various diverse backgrounds in a sensitive and compassionate way.

Hours

 Monday-Wednesday-Friday  5pm to1am

Tuesday Thursday  8pm to 4am

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
