Position Summary

Thomas More University is seeking enthusiastic, personable, and student-centered individuals to serve as Student Ambassadors for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Student Ambassadors play a vital role in welcoming prospective students and their families to campus and are often one of the very first interactions visitors have with Thomas More University. Through genuine hospitality, professionalism, and school pride, ambassadors help prospective students envision themselves as future Saints.

This position is ideal for students who enjoy meeting new people, sharing their Thomas More experience, and representing the University with energy, enthusiasm, and authenticity.

Primary Responsibilities

Student Ambassadors serve as official representatives of Thomas More University by:

  • Welcome prospective students, families, and guests with a friendly, professional, and hospitality-centered approach.
  • Conduct engaging individual and group campus tours that highlight academic programs, campus life, traditions, and student resources.
  • Share personal experiences and provide an authentic student perspective on life at Thomas More University.
  • Answer questions from prospective students and families regarding academics, student organizations, residence life, campus traditions, athletics, and the overall student experience.
  • Assist with Undergraduate Admissions events, including:
    • Preview Days
    • Open Houses
    • Summer Preview Events
    • Saints Nights
    • Admitted Student Programs
    • Special campus visit programs
  • Serve as hosts during campus visit days by assisting with check-in, greeting guests, escorting visitors across campus, and ensuring families have an outstanding experience.
  • Collaborate with Admissions Counselors and Enrollment staff to create a welcoming and engaging visit experience.
  • Support the Admissions Office with occasional administrative projects, mailings, phone calls, and event preparation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of University programs, majors, campus resources, student organizations, athletics, and campus events.
  • Represent Thomas More University with professionalism, integrity, enthusiasm, and school spirit both on and off campus.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be a full-time Thomas More University student.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Remain in good academic and judicial standing throughout employment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people.
  • Be dependable, punctual, and professional.
  • Be comfortable speaking to individuals and groups.
