Server, Mardi Gras Casino

Delaware North Gaming is hiring part-time Servers to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cros Lanes, West Virginia. As a Server, you will be responsible for representing our restaurant and providing outstanding service. Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Delaware North operates Mardi Gras Casino and Resort dating back to 2018. Located 14 miles west of Charleston, West Virginia, Mardi Gras features more than 25 table games, a poker room, more than 850 slot machines, live greyhound racing, and off-track betting for both greyhound and horse racing; several restaurants and a 150-room hotel.

• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning

• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
• Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
• No high school diploma or GED required

• Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
• Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
