Job Purpose
Advius is recruiting a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator in Pretoria-East. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for making sure all data required to run payroll is correct and complete before processing.
The role also covers processing payroll on time, managing time and attendance information, completing payroll reconciliations, maintaining payroll records, and making sure all statutory and legislative payroll requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Check and validate all payroll input data (employee details, time and attendance, leave, overtime, deductions and changes) before each payroll run
- Process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll on time, from data collection through to final payslips
- Capture and reconcile time and attendance records, including clock-in and clock-out data, leave and overtime
- Complete payroll reconciliations, including against the general ledger, and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain employee payroll records and update changes such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments and banking details
- Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and confidentially
- Assist with payroll audits and provide supporting documents as required
- Keep all payroll and employee information strictly confidential
- Support the HR department with general administrative duties as needed
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential
- A qualification in Payroll, Finance or HR is an advantage
- At least 1–2 years' experience in a payroll administration role
- Proven experience with payroll software and time and attendance systems
- Excellent MS Excel skills (non negotiable)
- Knowledge of South African payroll legislation
- Must live in or around Pretoria-East
- Own reliable transport preferred
- MIBCO recons/administration will be a PLUS
