Job DetailsJob Location: Cullman Regional Medical Center - Cullman, AL 35056Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: Health CareJob Summary:         Perform and review various routine and complex clinical laboratory tests according to departmental policies and professional standards to include maintenance, calibration and quality control in a cost-effective manner.     Prepare test reports and notify appropriate healthcare professional of atypical/critical values with documentation.     Assist with clerk, phlebotomy, specimen processing and pathology assistant functions as needed.     Assume responsibility for complex problem-solving, exceptions handling, and student clinical training.      Collect/Process chain of custody urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests.     Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.       Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.     QualificationsEducation:                Associate's degree in clinical laboratory sciences or equivalent with completion of clinical requirements. National certification required.                  Experience:                Six months of clinical laboratory experience preferred. Chemistry experience strongly preferred.        Microbiology experience strongly preferred.       Experience reviewing quality control (QC) data and interpreting Levy-Jennings charts strongly preferred. Additional Skills/Abilities:                Must have the ability to prioritize, multitask, remain calm under stress, and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills required.
