This position will initially be hired through a staffing agency on a temporary basis with opportunity for permanent hire after 90 days.
Summary:
A General聽Assembler is responsible for operating equipment in a factory or warehouse and preparing items for distribution. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-product products such as valves for plumbing and heating purposes by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities:
路 Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approve specifications and quality standards
路 Places parts in specified relationship to each other
路 Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together
路 Tends machines, such as automated machinery, to perform operations on assembly line
路 Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to be familiar with all assembly
路 Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy
路 Routinely practice 6s (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
路 Ensures that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials
路 Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
路 Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment
路 Reports issues or problems with production (equipment defects) to immediate Supervisor
路 Observe and removes fault product parts from assembly line
路 Other duties as assigned.

Skills:
路 Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
路 Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel components or using controls on an assembly machine
路 Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, 15 pounds, & 20 pounds
路 Required to stand on feet for long periods of time
路 Often performing repetitious motions
