Position Overview:

Caplock Security is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support an Army training environment The Senior Systems Administrator will support the servers and services the customer requires, provide scripting to advance mission and customer needs, and recommend technology solutions that fit the constraints of the Army environment. The role combines hands-on administration of Educational Technology Systems (ETS) with Information Assurance (IA) compliance, student account support, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems and Infrastructure Management
•         Manage and perform maintenance and storage allocation across cloud and on-premises servers.
•         Provide print server maintenance and management.
•         Maintain ETS system registrations and coordinate with the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to register systems for network imaging.
•         Provide scripting support to automate tasks and meet mission requirements.

Active Directory and Account Management
•         Manage ETS Active Directory user and computer accounts, print objects, and security groups.
•         Create and maintain standard naming conventions for computer accounts.
•         Help student soldiers register for smartcard access to ETS systems.

Security and IA Compliance
•         Conduct quarterly Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) analysis and mitigation on ETS systems and servers to ensure DoD IA compliance.
•         Help the Government audit student Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and IA directories to ensure 100% DoD IA compliance.
•         Provide incident response for systems and users with known or suspected IA compliance issues.
•         Conduct security briefs, issue, and turn-in for mobile devices (laptops and tablets).

Coordination and Support
•         Work with the NEC to resolve issues with user accounts, network outages, remote access, and Wi-Fi.
•         Develop and improve business processes for day-to-day maintenance and support requests.

SharePoint and Knowledge Management
•         Develop and maintain the TRADOC Knowledge Management (TKE) ETS System Administrator SharePoint site, including collecting and organizing data and metrics.
•         Evaluate and improve existing processes and develop new processes where needed.
•         Recommend technology solutions that fit the Army environment's constraints.

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:One of the following:
◦          Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience in a technical environment, or
◦          Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience in a technical environment.
•         At least 8 years of experience supporting student environments of similar scope and size, either for the Government or for a Government client.
•         Certifications:CompTIA Security+ and a Microsoft certification.
•         Clearance:Active secret clearance in good standing on the first day of the contract.
•         Hands-on experience with Active Directory, SCCM, NPS, print server administration, and SharePoint.
•         Experience performing STIG analysis and remediation in a DoD environment.
•         Scripting skills (for example, PowerShell).

Preferred Qualifications:
•         Experience supporting TRADOC, Army schoolhouse, or other military training environments.
•         Familiarity with TSAS and DoD smartcard (CAC) authentication.
•         Experience working with Army NECs.
•         Experience building SharePoint sites for metrics, reporting, and knowledge management.
•         DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or higher).
