SALARY:$100,000 to $110,700

Astrion has a contingent opening for a Systems Administrator (Windows) supporting the U.S. Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), located in Dahlgren, VA. Astrion is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure NSWCDD’ enterprise networks and software systems. In this role, you will perform full-lifecycle administration, including hardware/software installation, configuration, and performance tuning across diverse operating environments. You will also support network security operations, analyze vulnerabilities, develop system specifications, and assist with procurement-related market research to ensure our infrastructure meets federal and Department of War guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Three (3) years of professional experience in relation to Windows system administration of networks and software systems
Experience in system backup/recovery, basic software management, security and library management, installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and COTS software, operating computer systems in different operating environments, sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software /network trouble shooting and resource allocation
Experience in maintaining proficiency in major network security tools such as firewalls
Experience developing system specifications and performing market research procurement tasks
Qualified experience with different network protocols including TCP/IP
Qualified experience of computing and networking vulnerabilities and the latest detect methods
This position is required to be designated as IAT II level with a T5 investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, or CCNA
