Job DetailsJob Location: Dallas, TX 75205Description & Requirements Description The Cytotechnologist screens and results all gynecological specimens submitted for cytological evaluation. The technologist will work under the direct supervision of the Cytology General Supervisor, rendering cytological evaluations of specimens in accordance with departmental testing procedures and policies. This role is responsible for preparing diagnostic final reports. JOB DUTIES: · This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. · Examine specimens using microscopes to evaluate specimen quality. · Examine specimens to detect abnormal cellular changes · Provide patient clinical data or microscopic findings to assist pathologists in the preparation of pathology reports. · Document specimens by verifying patients’ and specimens’ information · Maintain effective laboratory operations by adhering to standards of specimen preparation and laboratory safety.QualificationsRequirements EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree plus 1-to 2-year accredited cytotechnologist program · ASCP certified · ThinPrep Imaging certification, preferred LANGUAGE: · English (Required) WORK AUTHORIZATION: · United States (Required)
