JOB SUMARY

Operates forklift to move, load, and unload material and pallets throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with Westlake Safety Policies

Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility

Operate forklift within the safety guidelines.

Unload incoming material and pallets by placing it in the proper area.

Regulate shipping documents accordingly.

Verify counts and maintain load sheets.

Understand quality standards, equipment, and manufacturing processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to use simple math and read tape measure accurately.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Prior forklift experience preferred.

Forklift certification

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

Prolong sitting.

Complete repetitive movements such as typing.

Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection) when in plant.

Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.

Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.

Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders.

Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental condition.
