The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with our cross-functional teams and prestigious clients across government, industry, and biomedical research sectors. About Emerging Measurements (EMCO)

Emerging Measurements is a pioneering high-tech company that specialises in remote thermometry using thermographic phosphors. We provide state-of-the-art instrumentation and applications designed to enhance performance, efficiency, safety, and durability for our clients. Our notable customers include the Department of Energy, the US Air Force, NASA, and General Electric. Our product portfolio includes the Phosphor Thermometry LabKit and the EXP luminescence time decay software package, which are used to solve challenging measurement problems in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the planning and implementation of projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
* Develop full-scale project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Coordinate and manage internal resources and cross-functional teams, including engineering, research, and software development, to ensure flawless execution.
* Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
* Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues as they arise.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

* Proven work experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a high-tech, engineering, or scientific research environment.
* A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
* Exceptional organisational skills, including meticulous attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
* A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
* Experience working with government or aerospace clients would be highly advantageous.
* A professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable but not essential.
