BY WMS Configuration & CustomizationÂ
- Design and configure Blue Yonder WMS modules to meet complex warehouse business requirements; 5+ years hands-on with at least 1 full cycle BY WMS implementations.Â
MOCA ArchitectureÂ
- Deep understanding of Messaging, Object, Command Architecture — the command layer underpinning BY WMS logic, scripting, and customization.Â
Integration: APIs, EDI & MiddlewareÂ
- Experience with SOAP/REST web services to connect WMS with ERP, TMS, and other systems; middleware tools including Boomi and AzureÂ
SQL & RDBMSÂ

Design, develop, and optimize the BY WMS solution to support warehouse operations and strategic projectsÂ
Configure and customize Blue Yonder WMS modules to meet evolving business requirementsÂ
Analyze code, configuration, data, and logs to find root causes of errors and revise the solutionÂ
Support deploying software deliveries from Blue Yonder / JDA associatesÂ
Lead functional design efforts: business process design, functional specifications, and test planningÂ
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address design gapsÂ
Support development of test strategy and identification of test scenariosÂ
Integration & Systems ArchitectureÂ
Connect BY WMS to ERP, TMS, and adjacent systems using SOAP/REST web services, APIs, and EDIÂ
Leverage middleware platforms (MuleSoft, TIBCO, Boomi) for enterprise integration patternsÂ
Analyze, define, and document technical requirements for data, workflow, logic, and system interfacesÂ
Warehouse Operations & AnalyticsÂ
Collect, analyze, and interpret warehouse data: inventory levels, order volumes, picking accuracy, shipping/receiving performanceÂ
Develop and track KPIs to measure warehouse performance, identify trends, and report to managementÂ
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; propose and implement process improvements to optimize efficiencyÂ
Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement measures to minimize stock discrepanciesÂ

RequiredÂ
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, CIS, or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
5+ years working with Blue Yonder / JDA WMS; at least 1 full-cycle implementation as Engineer or Consultant in Blue yonder WMS cloud versionsÂ
2+ years technical experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL); proficient SQLÂ
Hands-on experience configuring and customizing Blue Yonder WMS modulesÂ
MOCA (Movement Oriented Component Architecture):Â The foundational framework used by Blue Yonder to build, customize, and execute backend logic, tasks, and workflows.Â
Java/J2EE: Crucial for customizing the application, modifying integrations, and building custom components.Â
Perl or comparable language: Increasingly utilized for scripting, automation, and data analysisÂ
API & Web Services: Expertise in designing and testing integrations using RESTful APIs, JSON, and SOAPÂ
Jasper Reports:Â Hands-on experience designing and developing Jasper Reports.Â
Page builders:Â Hands-on experience building and customizing pages using page builder frameworks.Â
Middleware & Data Exchange: Familiarity with data formats (XML, CSV) and integrating the WMS with HOST/ERP systems and Automated Material Handling (MHE) equipmentÂ
RF & Automation Hardware: Configuring and troubleshooting Radio Frequency (RF) scanners, printers and conveyor systemsÂ
System Configuration:Â Mapping warehouse layouts, defining picking strategies, wave management, and replenishment logic.Â
SQL & PL/SQL:Â Writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers to pull or manipulate data directly from the WMS database.Â
Strong understanding of supply chain and warehousing conceptsÂ
Experience with Agile methodology and API-based integrationsÂ
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, design, and development skillsÂ
Demonstrated ability to work with IT and business stakeholders including DC managers/associatesÂ
Willingness to travel to DC locations when required.Â

Comparable experience with other best-of-breed WMS applications in addition to BY WMSÂ
Retail eCommerce experienceÂ
Experience in working on the integration technologies such as Boomi , Azure Data Factory and Azure Event GridÂ
Exposure to Microsoft Power BIÂ Â
Experience with Parcel shipping software such as Proship, LabelMaster, etc.. Â
Exposure to label printers, hip printers and all the warehouse equipment and devices
