WORK HOURS:  PRN (as needed) Rotating Shifts

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

•    H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
•    Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred
•    Associate degree preferred 
•    1 Year experience in a hospital setting preferred
•    BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
•    ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—required upon hire OR
•    ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers
•    If ARRT Sonography only, then ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers required within 12 months of hire
•    If ARDMS only, then ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography within 12 months of hire

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

•    Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:
•    Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.
•    Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.
•    Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
•    Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest Differential diagnosis.
•    Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.
•    Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
