The Senior Cost Accountant at Premier PV leads cost accounting for high-volume manufacturing, managing standard costs, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliations. This role partners with Operations and IT to ensure BOM and routing accuracy, drives margin insights, and supports month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting. As a subject-matter expert, the Senior Cost Accountant leads cross-functional initiatives, mentors, peers, and provides actionable financial analysis to influence operational decisions and improve cost control.Â

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Partner with Operations to create and maintain standard costs and BOM/routing accuracyÂ
- Prepare and analyze cost variances (material, labor, overhead); investigate root causesÂ
- Support physical and cycle counts; reconcile inventory and ensure valuation accuracyÂ
- Perform cost rolls and updates; maintain costing master data in ERPÂ
- Lead/assist monthly close for Revenue and COGS, including journal entries, allocations, and reconciliationsÂ
- Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for COGS and marginsÂ
- Ensure integrity of internal controls in compliance with SOX and company policiesÂ
- Provide ad hoc analysis and participate in cross‑functional projectsÂ
- Serve as SME for costing in ERP; partner with IT on configuration and testingÂ
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve BOM/routing accuracy and scrap controlsÂ
- Present margin analysis and insights to leadership; influence operational decisionsÂ

QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- 4–6 years of cost accounting experience in high‑volume manufacturingÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Finance acceptable); CPA or CMA a plusÂ
- Working knowledge of US GAAP; strong analytical skills and business judgmentÂ
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Viewpoint) and Microsoft Excel/Word/OutlookÂ
- Experience in manufacturing environments with standard costing preferredÂ
