This position is vital in maintaining the efficiency of inventory management and enhancing the customer shopping experience in our retail stores. As part of a not-for-profit charitable organization, the Tagger contributes to the overall goal of providing job training and employment opportunities to individuals in need. Key Responsibilities: - Accurately tag and categorize all incoming textile donations according to established guidelines and procedures. - Inspect donated textiles for quality and condition, ensuring that only suitable items are prepared for sale. - Maintain an organized and efficient tagging area to streamline the processing of donations. - Collaborate with team members to ensure that tagging operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently. - Assist in maintaining inventory records and tracking the movement of tagged items. - Support the retail team by ensuring that tagged items are ready for display and sale in a timely manner. - Uphold Goodwill Industries' standards of customer service by providing assistance and information to shoppers as needed. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in tagging processes. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. Required Experience: - Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred. - Experience in handling textiles or clothing items is a plus. - Familiarity with sorting, tagging, and inventory management is advantageous. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. - Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. - Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. - Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
