Compounder II reports to the Compounding Supervisor and is responsible for preparing batches according to manufacturing instructions and established procedures. Â The compounder must be able to operate mixing vessels, pumps, valves, and filtration equipment in a safe and effective manner to deliver a high-quality product. Â Completion of compliance documentation and mixing instructions is required. Â
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Produce batches per mixing instructions
- Must be able to understand safety hazards and identify them
- Partner with the team to assure production goals are met
- Keep a clean and safe work environment.
- Be able to operate mixing equipment effectively
- Connect and disconnect pumps and hoses
- Enter data into SAP system
- Take samples and submit to the lab
- Run some in-process checks with lab equipment
- Follow SOP and Work Instructions for practical application in regulated environment.
- Verify raw materials weighed and help accomplish weigh tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Mus have previous experience in compounding in manufacturing
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and procedures
- 2 to 5 years’ experience required, or similar work experience
- Flexible to work different shifts to meet deadlines.
- Ability to sit, walk, and move around for several hours.
