Job DetailsJob Location: Callahan - Dalton, GA 30721Job Purpose Extrusion QC Technician is accountable for quality checks performed on all machines in Masterbatch, Extrusion, and Twisting departments. Collaborates Yarn Operations management to ensure that quality checks are in acceptable ranges Duties and Responsibilities •Working knowledge of the masterbatch department, production, and allrecipes •Process and document all samples and new color developments •Keeping records of all masterbatches in process and completed •Keep and check all quality reports •Working knowledge of all quality control guidelines •Make all quality checks to insure all masterbatch products are in spec.(color, moisture, etc.)•Knowledge of Injection Molder and its operation for retrieval of samplespecimen•Knowledge of X-Rite Color Eye Spectrophotometer and its operation •Collect and file all quality, machine, issue, and completion checks •Check elongation, and tenacity on all extruders•Investigate quality problems as needed •Acquire retains of all new lots of color concentrate coming in •Take bobbin and work order for each face fiber order / first run of new lotof color concentrate order to lab for testing •Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating jobexpectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching,counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, andenforcing systems, policies, and procedures QualificationsQualifications •Education: HS diploma/GED required •Experience: Experienced in Manufacturing Quality Control •Courses/Certifications/Training •Superior written and verbal communication skills •Familiar with personal computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office•Bilingual preferred
