Job DetailsJob Location: 10 - Davenport Campus - Davenport, IA 52803Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Doctor of ChiropracticTravel Percentage: NoneJob Category: Health CareFUNCTION The Palmer College of Chiropractic Clinics Sports Injury and Chiropractic Rehabilitation two-year Residency Program provides training in evidence-based patient care and educational methods. This residency program focuses on patient care and academic teacher training to prepare residents for future roles as a clinician, educator, and mentor in the field.     ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.   Responsible for the supervision of students as required.   SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care Provide quality patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.   Teaching Mentor chiropractic student externs Prepare and present guest lectures, grand rounds, and continuing education seminars.   Scholarship Promote evidence-based practices and innovation in chiropractic. Participate in research projects and presentations.   Professional Development Engage in workshops, seminars, and independent study. Participate in interprofessional rotations.   Perform all responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with Palmer’s Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policy.   Perform other duties as assigned.   QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES   Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.   Ability to communicate effectively.   Ability to travel to outside events.   Ability to work various hours as job requires.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE   Doctor of Chiropractic Degree required.  Completion of National Boards Parts I, II, III, IV, and PT.  Have and maintain in good standing an Iowa Chiropractic license. Completion of post graduate education, and in house coursework, making the resident eligible to sit for DACRB level exams. Must have submitted at least one published journal article/research project within a refereed journal prior to completion of the residency.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT   Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature-controlled office setting.   Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, push, pull, lift objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
