In this position...

This role is the core Calibration Lead Engineer responsible for the vehicle-level performance of the ECUs within the BLE Subsystem in onboard systems — spanning Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies.

The subsystem consists of the central BLE/UWB control module (BLEM/BUN) and a range of BLE/UWB/NFC antennas (BLEAMs/UWB Anchors), used globally across Ford and Lincoln nameplate vehicles. The primary feature these modules support is Phone As a Key (PaaK), along with additional features such as intrusion detection, Key Fob, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and OTA updates.

The BLEM/BUN communicates with the antennas via dedicated LIN or private CAN-FD, with smartphones via BLE/UWB, and with other vehicle ECUs — including the Body Control Module, Telematics Control Module, SYNC Control Module, backend cloud, and other feature-specific modules — via CAN/CAN-FD.
