ECT Program Manager (RN)

 

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) 

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.  

 

Position Summary

The ECT Program Manger is responsible for the overall management of the ECT Program to ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals, and objectives.  This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision ECT program staff. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts.  This position is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events with respect to all ECT Program staff required training.

Qualifications

Requirements:  

  • Associates Degree in nursing required, BSN is preferred.
  • ECT experience of 1 - 3 years is required; 3-10 years is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of ECT practices and clinical operations.  
  • Leadership experience.
  • Ability to function as the ECT RN when not present.
  • Coordinates Schedule for Anesthesiology coverage for all scheduled treatment days.
  • Triages and coordinates ECT referrals, admissions and discharges, in collaboration with the inpatient units, providers and Intake Department.
  • Coordinates OP ECT medical clearance with PCP providers.

 

This full-time position is Monday - Friday with 8 hour shifts.
