Dishwasher - Part-Time AM Shift

Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA,  is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.

The Dishwasher is responsible for providing a clean environment for the cafeteria. Responsibilities and job duties include:

• Ensures the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.
• Prepares dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
• Cleans machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloads and stores deliveries.
• Sweep and mops floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
• Takes out the trash and rinses garbage cans.
• Assists the cooks as needed on the grill.
• Other duties as assigned.

The position requires moderate physical activity with general movement and will require work after hours and every other weekend. 

Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements

• At least one year in food service preferred.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be a good team player.
