This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilledĀ Data Platform Engineer (Oracle EBS Application DBA)Ā to join our team and play a key role in shaping the technical vision for our next-generation data platform. This position requires deep expertise inĀ Oracle 19c databases, Oracle EBS 12.2.x, andĀ WebLogic environments on Linux, along with a strong foundation in database architecture, performance optimization, and platform reliability.
You will design, build, and manage enterprise-grade database environments while contributing to platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manageĀ Oracle database environmentsĀ ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Administer and supportĀ Oracle EBS 12.2.x,Ā Oracle 19c, andĀ WebLogic ServerĀ environments.
- Perform core DBA functions includingĀ installation, patching, cloning, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Define and enforceĀ database standards, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and optimize database performance; proactively resolve issues and ensure system stability.
- SupportĀ data integrity, security controls, and compliance requirements.
- Participate inĀ architecture discussions, influencing platform strategy and roadmap.
- Manage database deployments acrossĀ on-prem and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across EBS and integrated applications.
- Build and maintain automation tools for monitoring and managing large-scale systems.
- Contribute toĀ new projects, including database architecture design and platform evolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise inĀ Oracle 19c (or newer) on Linux/Unix, including RAC environments.
- Hands-on experience withĀ Oracle EBS R12.2.x administrationĀ (upgrades, migrations, support).
- Proven experience withĀ Oracle WebLogic ServerĀ (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades).
- Strong knowledge ofĀ Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Experience inĀ performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to build automation tools for monitoring and system management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience withĀ Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Ā and cloud-based architectures.
- Familiarity withĀ Oracle Fusion, EPM, or other Oracle Cloud applications.
- Exposure toĀ Oracle Middleware technologiesĀ (SOA Suite, ODI, etc.).
- Experience withĀ Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Oracle certifications (OCP, OCA, OCI Architect, WebLogic Administrator).
- Understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms.
