• Guide students safely across intersections
• Keep an eye out for unsafe drivers or suspicious activity
• Communicate clearly with kids, parents, and school staff
• Maintain a positive, professional presence every shift

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Stop paddle, reflective vest, whistle, plus optional items such as a cell phone, rain gear, reflective gloves, a reflective cap, first-aid supplies, warm winter gear, and traffic cones.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 18 years or older
• Able to work independently and stay calm in emergencies
• Comfortable interacting with children and the public
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather
• Effective English communication
• Basic knowledge of local streets
• Completion of required training
