Purpose/Objective of the Role: 

Bishop Way Peer Educators are passionate about empowering their peers to find balance in their wellness and promote wellness initiatives on campus. The peer education program focuses on the 5 dimensions of wellness, supports others in responsible decision making, and role models the Bishop Way to encourage campus-wide change for wellness and prevention. 


Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate prevention education workshops and presentations 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Bishop Way signature programs 
  • Create social norming marketing and other Bishop Way advertising materials to educate and inform the OWU community about Bishop Way programs and resources 
  • Attend various training sessions to gain knowledge to share with OWU community 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Interest in promoting wellness education and prevention programming for the Ohio Wesleyan community 
  • 2.5 minimum GPA 
  • Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Integrity and Community Standards 
  • Completion of the Bishop Way Peer Educator training course (.25 Credit Hours)
