Purpose/Objective of the Role:

Assist the Systems technician with various hands-on duties. 

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Including but not limited to:
    • Replacing and repairing wireless hardware, telecommunications equipment
    • Network device registration
    • Digital signage management and installation
    • Pulling wired networking cabling to repair or upgrade campus infrastructure
    • Covering the help desk
    • Supporting the media center with projector installation and configuration
    • Answering phones, and responding to email/work requests
    • Moderate ladder climbing will be required

 Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn new (and old) technology
  • Being able to communicate effectively
  • Lifting moderately heavy objects
  • Familiarity with hand tools (drills, drywall saw etc.)
  • Being able to work independently and with a partner
  • Working knowledge of Windows,Mac and mobile device operating systems (linux experience is a bonus)
  • Knowledge of home networking and wireless troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of gaming consoles/smart devices
