Student Worker - Werner Gallery Coordinator
Purpose/Objective of the Role:
- Fine Arts is seeking a student, art major or minor, that is motivated to promote and cultivate student art from OWU studios. This position requires working and communicating with a range of people in the OWU community: students, staff and faculty, as well as maintaining the social media. The work hours are flexible but the position may require availability during weekends. Core responsibilities of the Gallery
Coordinator position:
- Assist with installments of the exhibits, (there should be 2-3 exhibits per semester)
- Promote exhibits and Werner Gallery space to students and OWU community
- Maintain the inventory of gallery supplies/tools.
Core Responsibilities of managing Collections:
- Maintain the inventory of works in the Kalb collection, and the departments Instagram account.
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills
- Good time management
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge to operate with basic power tools
- Capacity to lift and move items, (approximately30 -50 pounds weight)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud platform.
- No previous experience necessary
- Needs to be art major or minor
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, moving materials and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Prefer art major/minor
