Position Summary

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, and collaborative individuals to join our global team. Located in our Denver office, you will develop and execute regional commodity strategies that optimize cost, mitigate risk, and ensure supply continuity while supporting Gates' business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, cost savings projects, and mitigate risk.
  • Utilize market intelligence and data analysis to drive strategic decisions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies for assigned categories.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and supplier development activities.
  • Identify and implement cost savings projects requiring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analyze market conditions, cost drivers, and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Present business cases, project updates, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through sourcing strategies, capacity planning, and supplier diversification.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute commodity strategies.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/supply chain systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Preferred: Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire     
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued 
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
