Within our Corporate Accounting team located in Denver, Leprino is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support the financial reporting, analysis, and accounting processes that help keep our business running smoothly. This role offers the opportunity to build technical accounting expertise, collaborate with teams across the organization, and contribute to the accurate financial information that supports business decisions throughout our global operations!

 

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $73,000 and $81,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation to help ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Build accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and Leprino accounting policies.
  • Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts while maintaining organized and reliable supporting schedules.
  • Support month-end close activities by compiling financial data, researching variances, and assisting with reporting requirements.
  • Analyze assigned cost centers and provide meaningful explanations for budget-to-actual and period-over-period fluctuations.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet fluctuation analyses and other financial reporting schedules.
  • Partner with internal teams to support account coding, reconciliations, reclassifications, and general ledger analysis.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of financial information for internal and external audits.
  • Work with external accounting firms to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Utilize SAP, Excel, and related tools to improve reporting efficiency and strengthen month-end analytics.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives that enhance accounting workflows and reporting consistency.

 

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience with a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data accurately.
  • Ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical reports within established timelines.

 

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active CPA candidate.
  • Experience with a Big 10 public accounting firm, with at least one busy seasons.
  • Experience using SAP and Blackline for month-end close, account reconciliation, and reporting enhancements.
  • Familiarity with implementing accounting process improvements and standard methodologies across large organizations.
