Description 

National Network Services (NNS) is seeking a Low Voltage Technician I. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role works under the direction of Technicians, Lead Technicians, and Project Managers and serves as a foundation for advancement within the organization.

General Requirements 

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening if required 
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly 
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding 
  • Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments  
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Good communication and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized 
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work overtime as project schedules require 

 

What You’ll Do 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist with the installation of structured cabling and low-voltage systems 
  • Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards 
  • Learn proper installation techniques, cable handling, and termination methods 
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members 
  • Take direction from Technicians, Lead Technicians, and Project Managers 
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills 
  • Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and organized manner 
  • Support project teams in meeting productivity and quality goals 

 

What You’ll Bring 

Required 

  • No prior experience required – training provided 
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License 
  • Basic hand tools required 
  • Ability and willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures 
  • Ability to correctly terminate a minimum of 12 CAT6 jacks per hour 
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team 
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds 
  • Ability to work on ladders and in construction environments 
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods 
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
