American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has positions available for Production Specialist to assist our Manufacturing Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties:

Operate various Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Routers in support of residential and, commercial door manufacturing process.
Operate conventional machines such as Lathes, Mills, Surface Grinder, Drill Sharpener, work on the CNC/Komo Machine, and Kval Door Machinery
Read production tag and interpret proper program to run on machine
Detect and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules.
Routinely checks machine setup, tooling and calibration for routing doors and door components.
Exercise focused mental concentration in the presence of high-speed cutting and milling equipment
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds
Perform mathematical valuations, as well as read and understand technical drawings
Start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
Material preparation and material handling
Other general warehouse duties as needed
Work overtime as needed to satisfy customers demands

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $23.96 to $26.48 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
