VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is seeking a registered veterinary technician to join our team in our top-rated neurology department.  Our technicians are responsible for the technical duties, client communication and patient care related to their role and department.  We have 3 boarded neurologists with a busy caseload.

Responsibilities in this position

  • All tasks related to inducing, maintain/monitoring, and recovering patients from anesthesia.

  • The main resource of providing anesthesia for neurology patients needing imaging and/or surgery.

  • Think analytically through disease process and patient needs.

  • Inspire and teach students and new associates.

  • Ensure documentation is appropriate, thorough, and complete.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced, credentialed technicians are preferred, but we love to train new grads!

  • Credentialed technicians and new grads welcome!

  • Four ten hour shifts are available for this department.

  • Generous paid and completely voluntary on-call.

  • Paid credentialing and association dues.

  • $750 in paid CE and numerous free in house CE available, including RACE approved.
