Purpose: The Security Service Technician is responsible for basic Security system installations. Essential Duties include the following: Reads and understands basic security drawings Performs field device terminations Successfully follow drawings and instructions for wiring a maglock circuit Performs Low-Voltage cabling, wiring, and cable management Measures AC, DC voltage Performs programming within LenelS2 systems Measures continuity and resistance Understands and can define Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure devices Understands and can define normally open and normally closed devices Understands Series and parallel circuit wiring Completes daily update log and project status Develops exceptional customer focus Maintains awareness of jobsite surroundings Consistently meets the needs of the Project Manager Assists Project Managers with weekly review of job status Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications/ Requirements: 1-2 years performing related functions within the Security industry LenelS2 programming certifications preferred Basic understanding of MS Office Software especially Excel Demonstrated ability as a team-player Able to multi-task and adapt to changing demands Excellent verbal and written communications skills Experience with high volume workload while maintaining a high degree of accuracy Should have, or be willing to obtain OSHA thirty certification Security Technician’s will be responsible for providing basic hand tools The ability to work under pressure Physical Requirements: Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered) Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead Possess good vision (normal or corrected) Able to get to customer job sites Work Environment: Able to work in all elements, depending on job locations and time of year The above statements are intended to reflect the principal duties of the position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
