DF AY26/27 Research Assistant, Consumer ResearchJob Description:
Professor Abby Schneider in the Anderson College of Business and Computing is seeking a graduate research assistant to support academic research during the Fall 2026 semester. The research assistant will help with research projects at the intersection of consumer behavior (judgment and decision-making) and individual, interpersonal, and societal/environmental well-being. Applicants should have an interest in understanding and exploring psychological constructs such as attention, perception, memory, learning, information processing, and affect/emotion as well as experimental and survey research methods. Experience with coding complex software tools to collect experimental data is essential.Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Writing programming (HTML code) to customize the Truman Platform (TTP).
- Modifying and debugging our custom instance of TTP.
- Writing code to enable the tracking of engagement metrics related to our training intervention.
Required qualifications:
- Coding ability (e.g., HTML)
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, business, data science, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with social science research methods.

These positions are benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
