Job Details: Job Location: Destin - Destin, FL 32541, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00Hourly, Hybrid Medical Scribe/ Medical Assistant – Rheumatology Position SummaryThe Hybrid Medical Assistant/Scribe serves a dual role supporting both clinical and administrative aspects of patient care within a busy rheumatology practice. This position provides direct patient care assistance, clinical documentation support, care coordination, and infusion center support. The incumbent works closely with a rheumatologist, nursing staff, and Medication authorization specialists to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate medical record documentation, and exceptional patient care.The ideal candidate possesses strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent documentation skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Medical Scribe Responsibilities Accompany rheumatologist during patient visits and accurately document patient encounters in the EMR in real time. Record patient histories, review of systems, physical examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by the provider. Document disease activity measures, functional assessments, and rheumatology-specific clinical findings. Maintain accurate medication reconciliation, allergy verification, and problem lists. Prepare clinical notes for provider review and signature. Enter orders, referrals, laboratory requests, imaging requests, and prescriptions as directed by the provider and in accordance with clinic policy. Ensure medical records are complete, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards. Assist providers with chart preparation and review prior to clinic sessions. Medical Assistant Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, pain scores, and other clinical information. Update patient medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and pharmacy information. Assist the physician with examinations and procedures. Administer injections and medications within scope of certification and state regulations. Collect and process laboratory specimens as required. Perform point-of-care testing and document results. Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, laboratory testing, and follow-up appointments.   Qualifications: Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to pass a background check Previous medical scribing experience preferred. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
