Job Description
  • Position:  9th - 12th Reading Interventionist 
  • Location: Loyola High School
  • Type: Full-Time, salaried 
  • Salary Range: $40,000-55,000
  • Schedule:8-hour shift; example: 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm
    • Tentative: One hour work from home

Job Overview:

Loyola High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Interventionist to support students in grades (possibly not all) 9th - 12th

Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted reading intervention support for students in in one-on-one and small group settings

  • Design and implement both academic and social-emotional interventions tailored to individual student needs

  • Administer and analyze universal screeners to guide instructional planning

  • Monitor student progress every 8–10 weeks and adjust interventions based on data

  • Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure aligned and effective intervention strategies

  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress in compliance with school, district, and federal guidelines

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support

  • Incorporate Restorative Practices into daily interactions with students and staff

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field 

  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with applicable endorsement(s) as required by the Michigan Department of Education

  • Meet “Highly Qualified Teacher” requirements
