Weare looking for a senior-level Injection Molding Process Technician to handlemold setups, process adjustments, troubleshooting, and production support in amanufacturing environment. This role requires strong hands-on technical skillsto maintain consistent part quality, resolve production issues, and improveprocess reliability while working alongside a senior technical advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Executemold changes, installation, machine setup, startup, shutdown, and productionchangeovers
  • Configureand fine-tune processing conditions, including temperatures, pressures, speeds,packing, cooling, clamp force, and cycle settings
  • Confirmreadiness of machines, molds, materials, auxiliary equipment, and processconditions before production
  • Safelybring molding processes to stable production following setups or interruptions
  • Maintainconsistent processing conditions and document validated machine and moldsettings
  • Identifyand resolve molding defects, including flash, short shots, burns, splay, sinkmarks, warpage, dimensional inconsistencies, and part sticking
  • Investigateprocess issues involving materials, tooling, machinery, auxiliary systems, andoperating methods
  • Troubleshootmechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, core-pull, heating, cooling,material-handling, and basic electrical or control issues within the role'sscope
  • Determinewhen issues require support from Maintenance, Tooling, Engineering, or externaltechnical specialists
  • Addressdowntime and recurring production problems through safe, lasting correctivesolutions
  • Improveprocess consistency, cycle times, scrap rates, and equipment uptime
  • Supportnew mold introductions, material changes, process trials, initial productionruns, and process validation
  • Helpdocument established machine and mold settings and transfer technical knowledgeinto repeatable procedures
  • Workwith Production and Quality teams to maintain product conformance and verifyinitial production parts
  • Participatein root-cause investigations and implement appropriate process adjustmentswithout compromising quality or stability
  • Communicate technicalfindings and production concerns to relevant teams and leadership

Requirements

  • InjectionMolding – 5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience or equivalentdemonstrated technical competency, including independent mold changes, machinesetup, startup, processing, and troubleshooting; 7 to 10+ years of experience,particularly in a Senior Technician, Lead Technician, Process Technician, SetupTechnician, or comparable advanced molding role preferred
  • ProcessKnowledge – Strong understanding of injection molding fundamentals, machineparameters, process variables, and common molding defects
  • Materials& Auxiliary Equipment – Experience with thermoplastic materials, propermaterial handling and drying, and common injection molding auxiliary systems
  • Mechanical& Technical Troubleshooting – Strong mechanical aptitude and ability toidentify root causes and resolve equipment or process issues within theappropriate technical scope
  • ManufacturingDocumentation – Ability to interpret part drawings, specifications, dimensions,tolerances, and technical manufacturing documents, as well as document processconditions and communicate technical information clearly
  • TechnicalLeadership – Experience coaching or mentoring junior technicians and productionoperators, and/or leading technical projects preferred
  • ProcessImprovement – Background in process optimization, scrap reduction, cycle-timeimprovement, and root-cause analysis preferred
  • Automation& Support Systems – Familiarity with robots or pickers, dryers, chillers orthermolators, hot runners, material-handling systems, and related auxiliaryequipment preferred
  • CustomManufacturing – Experience managing technical requirements across multiplemachines, molds, materials, and production priorities in a custom manufacturingsetting preferred
  • LanguageSkills – English/Spanish bilingual ability is an advantage but is not requiredif effective technical communication can otherwise be demonstrated
  • ForkliftOperation – Experience operating a forklift safely; current certificationpreferred, or willingness and ability to obtain company-required certification
  • Physical & SafetyRequirements – Ability to safely perform the physical tasks associated withmold setup, equipment adjustment, troubleshooting, material handling, andproduction support
