SUMMARY

The Service Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to our Carrier Distributors in the development, implementation, and coordination of the Territory’s Service Technical fulfillment processes.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with Carrier Distributors to establish required talent and resources
  • Work to ensure the implementation of the Safety Standards
  • Provides feedback to the Centers of Excellence on quality issues.
  • Maintains quality standards by supervising and inspecting job sites.
  • Responsible for internal communications flow relative to the technical fulfillment process.
  • Responsible for Service Technical Support
  • Responsible for Estimator for Service implementation and execution
  • Responsible for providing feedback on technical trainings needed
  • Responsible for conducting Technical Training as required
  • Responsible for evaluation and processing of Shipped Products Defect
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
  • Travel throughout the Territory. (50%)
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent; or seven (7) years technical field experience in HVAC equipment.

 

Experienced and knowledgeable in operation processes associated with service of HVAC equipment. Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls. Carrier/Automated Logic Controls knowledge is a plus

 

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the technical team. Ability to write and/or create effective memos, reports, presentations, and documents.  English and Spanish required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in both an office and field environment.  Site visits are required; therefore the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

The position requires the employee to report to the office in Miami, Florida.
