Job Details: Job Location: Adult Day Care-Dothan - Dothan, AL, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $10.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide transportation services supporting transfer of passengers and to provide support to all operations of WRC related to transportation. To provide other support services needed by various contracts as assigned.Regular attendance is a most important job requirement and an essential function of this position. Basic Task List: To drive, passengers as related to the business enterprises of WRC. To see that vehicles are properly cleaned and maintained in a safe condition at all times. Evaluate/Manage the need for supplies in the areas assigned and request additional supplies as needed Manage/Implement schedule of activities as defined by management Follow checklists/task lists established in area of assignment Assist clients with assigned activities/duties/needs Perform quality checks during work performance and upon work completion Perform preventive maintenance prior to use of equipment and to use equipment appropriately. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment Communicate effectively and respectfully while dealing with complaints or concernsSecondary Duties: Must attend staff development and/or work training programs as assigned Must substitute in various work areas as needed.Qualifications: Education Minimum of high school education or equivalent desired, not required.Qualifications: Must be approved as a driver of vehicles by WRC insurance provider. Must be CPR CertifiedExperience Experience driving mobility vans preferred.Skills/Abilities Ability to give and follow instructions Ability to communicate orally and in writing Ability to organize, plan and implement work schedules Ability to work with others and handle problems in a diplomatic manner Ability to represent WRC in interactions with contract representatives Ability to work with consumers and serve as an appropriate role model.Other Requirements1. Must not be using medications that would prevent driving.2. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 lbs. or more3. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day4. Must have complete use of both arms and be able to operate equipment requiring upper body strength and use for an extended period of time-- up to 8 hours per day5. Must participate in training sessions as scheduled.6. Must maintain licensure to do the job at own expense.7. Must adhere to and follow the WRC Code of Ethical Conduct demonstrating understanding while performing essential functions of the job, fulfilling other requirements and using knowledge, skills and abilities in furthering the mission of WRC and in all interactions with consumers, staff and other employees and the public. 8. Must be knowledgeable of emergency procedures, accident reporting and proper techniques for assisting individuals with disabilities.
