Job Description 

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our HVAC.  This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the HVAC Program Director.  The primary responsibility will be to teach HVAC/R courses.  The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.   

 

Requirements 

  • Completion of an accredited HVAC/R program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
  • Certifications:
    • HVAC Certification/License
    • EPA Universal
    • HVAC Journeyman not required, but is desired
    • NATE Certification is not required, but desired
  • At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven 
  • Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
