Job Summary:
Assist DVU students with understanding materials and concepts for specific courses and subjects. Help students develop effective study and learning strategies for specific courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tutor DVU students in course content.
- Suggest effective study and learning strategies.
- Submit the required documentation of time and specific tutoring activities.
- Ask tutored students to complete the feedback form and/or to submit other relevant information.
- Complete all communicated training requirements by the appropriate deadline(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Employment eligibility:
- Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have completed courses they wish to tutor with a minimum grade of “B” at DelVal or must have completed the equivalent course(s)/subject(s) at another accredited college/university. with a minimum grade of “B” as indicated on a transcript.
- Must be recommended by a DVU faculty member.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with peers.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
