Job Summary:
The Roth Farm Student Employee provides diligent, focused and thorough care to all livestock housed at the Roth Farm. Additionally, the position entails a variety of general farm chores and crop production tasks. The Roth Farm Student Employee works following established processes and procedures, but must also be adaptable to a dynamic work environment prone to changes.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Care of livestock.
- Fieldwork consistent with the production of vegetables, small fruit and agronomic row crops.Â
- Operation of farm equipment.
- Repair of buildings, maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Operation of retail farm market.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Employment eligibility:
- Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Â
- Occasionally lifting 25 lbs or less
- Frequently lifting 25 lbs or more
- Typically standing or walking
- Typically bending, crouching, stooping
- Climbing ladders, scaffolds
- Occasionally running, climbing
- Using tools requiring high dexterity
- Outdoor exposure to weather
- Exposure to chemicals
- Exposure to moving machinery
- Exposure to unpleasant odors
- Exposure to animal feces and specimens
- May be exposed to animal bites, scratches and contagious diseases
- High noise environment
- High dust, dirt, grease environment
- Must hold valid driver’s license
- May have an alternative work schedule
- May be required to be on-call
