Key Responsibilities

Equipment Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Perform cleaning, disassembly, and reassembly of filling and packaging equipment
  • Execute sanitation of equipment and production lines in compliance with GMP standards
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are documented per SOP requirements


Equipment Setup & Operation

  • Set up and adjust packaging equipment, including:
    • Coding devices
    • Heat tunnels
    • L-sealers
    • Steam tunnels
    • Induction sealers
  • Set up and support filling equipment, including:
    • Tube fillers
    • Rotary fillers
    • Positive displacement (PD) fillers
    • Hot fill systems

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues; escalate complex repairs as needed
  • Support preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime

Production & Material Handling Support

  • Transfer bulk product into designated holding containers following SOPs
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and in compliance with company policy
  • Assist with line changeovers and startup activities

Compliance & Documentation

  • Follow all GMP, safety, and company policies
  • Accurately complete required documentation (logs, checklists, batch records)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+  years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or related field
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in cosmetics, personal care, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with filling and packaging equipment listed above

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of GMP principles and sanitation standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to:

Organize, maintenance operations and activities.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members at work.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and cleaning chemicals
  • Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]), and repetitive motion
  • May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on production needs
