This role supports CMDB administration, Discovery, Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), CI relationships, integrations, data quality, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) alignment. The administrator works across ServiceNow, ITSM, and other teams to ensure Configuration Items (CIs) are accurately discovered, identified, reconciled, related, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

Primary Tasks:

1. Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, Configuration Management processes, CI classes, attributes, relationships, identification rules, reconciliation rules, and lifecycle standards.

2. Monitor and improve CMDB health, addressing data completeness, correctness, compliance, duplicates, stale CIs, missing attributes, and relationship quality.

3. Configure and troubleshoot the IRE, including source precedence, CI identification, reconciliation, and duplicate prevention.

4. Support and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery across MID Server, MID-less, and agent-based technologies.

5. Maintain CI relationships and support Service Mapping, dependency modeling, impact analysis, and CSDM alignment across infrastructure, applications, cloud resources, endpoints, and services.

6. Administer and troubleshoot CMDB data from integrations and external sources.

7. Support integrations with technologies and platforms such as SCCM, Intune, Jamf, VMware, Active Directory, cloud providers, monitoring tools, security platforms, and asset-management systems.

8. Integrate the CMDB with ITSM and ITOM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Vulnerability, and Asset Management, and resolve CI-to Asset lifecycle and synchronization issues.

9. Evaluate new CMDB data sources and capabilities, promote standard ServiceNow functionality, document standards and procedures, and support upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field

3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, HAM, SAM, or related platform capabilities

ServiceNow HAM, SAM, Discovery, or CMDB-related certifications
