Here’s the Gist :

We currently have a need for a Process Development Engineering Manager- Etch, Photo and Metrology within The Power Device Technology Development Group. As a Process Development Engineering Manager in the Power R&D group, you will oversee all development of novel process capabilities that will advance Wolfspeed’s SiC power device technology. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong track record of innovation, ingenuity and technical leadership.

This position will be based in North Carolina.

The Day-to-Day

  • Manage a team of process development engineers and provide regular guidance on technical projects
  • Lead the development and improvement of etch and photolithography processes, as well as overall power device metrology strategy, to drive the development of robust next generation power semiconductor devices
  • Define and execute on Wolfspeed's power device process roadmap
  • Oversee technical projects to enhance product performance and improve product yields
  • Spearhead collaborations with the R&D design and integration teams to create unit processes to meet customer specifications
  • Provide technical process development leadership
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • PhD. Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or any closely related Engineering field.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and people management
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device fabrication
  • Experience in process integration or process development in a semiconductor fab or lab environment.
  • Strong knowledge of various etch techniques, such as reactive ion etching, inductively coupled plasm etching, various wet etch techniques
  • Working knowledge of material characterization techniques, such as OES, SEM, Ellipsometry, AFM, XRF and/or other similar techniques
  • Experience in various photolithography techniques, including aligners, steppers and scanners
  • Strong knowledge of CSDEM and optical metrology techniques
  • Experience with SPC and DOE methodology
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
