Job DetailsJob Location: PEOPLE INCORPORATED MAIN OFFICE - EAGAN, MN 55121Position Type: Internship - PaidSalary Range: $20.00 HourlyDevelopment Assistant - paid internship People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Development Assistant to support our Development team this fall in a paid internship.  This part-time internship provides practical skill development in prospect research using database management best practices and learning how to build donor profiles and strategy.     Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, partial schedule flexibility.  Tuesdays and Wednesday are required in-office days, 2-4 hours each day.  Remaining hours can be hybrid.    Location(s): People Incorporated main office: 3000 Ames Crossing Road, Suite 600, Eagan, MN 55121    Hiring Range: $20.00 per hour   People Incorporated Mental Health Services is the largest nonprofit mental health provider in Minnesota. For over 50 years, we have been a leading community partner, transforming the health of our communities through innovative solutions.   Learning Objectives:  Develop practical skills in prospect research for a nonprofit using database management best practices by learning how to research and analyze external information to synthesize and distill information to building a donor profile and strategy. Building understanding of ethical and confidential data practices by applying careful research, verification, and documentation steps when handling sensitive constituent information, including deceased-record updates and profile completion.   Main Internship Duties:  Research donor prospects and distill information into potential donor profiles Complete database maintenance and data quality support tasks Support the ongoing accuracy and completeness of donor and constituent records by following established data processes QualificationsRequired Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Currently attending or recently graduated from a post-secondary degree program in non-profit management, public administration, data management or analytics, research methods, library science, business, public policy or a related field Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step procedures accurately Basic comfort with databases, spreadsheets or recordkeeping systems Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information Reliability, consistency, and willingness to ask questions when information is unclear Benefits: Accrue up to 48 hours of Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) in accordance with state and local requirements     People Incorporated is committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions.
